RipRap Security is named after a type of shoreline protection used to prevent erosion from water.
We think this is an apt analogy to cyber security. Without the proper protection in place, security incidents have the potential to erode an organization's reputation, business operations, and success—short-term and long-term.

The RipRap Security Leadership Team
Garrett Miller and Steve Sharer have a combined 20 years of cyber security experience. Our skills have been refined, and refined again, by protecting large government agencies and corporations across a dozen industries including aviation, defense, tech, automotive, manufacturing, media, and financial services.
We created RipRap Security because we have a deep passion for using those skills to help vulnerable organizations. We pride ourselves on being trustworthy and compassionate—we know that cyber security is ever-changing, complex, and difficult to know where to start.
The team has top-tier security certifications, and deep experience with uncovering and addressing security vulnerabilities, and have demonstrated an ability to detect both known and unknown vulnerabilities with numerous CVEs to their credit.
We seek to primarily support nonprofits, B Corp organizations, small businesses, and other organizations that have strong environmental, social, and governance goals. These organizations have historically lacked the expertise, relationships, and capital to put strong cyber security defenses into place. And without strong defenses, their ability to not only grow, but thrive, is threatened.
