The people who are doing the work of moving the organization’s mission forward often know the risks best – after all, you’re the ones working within its community, speaking with those it serve, seeing its issue areas in the news, and fielding comments and DMs on social media. You know firsthand the high price organizations pay when targeted, in staff time, donor dollars, and reputation. 

In our latest grant cycle, we received a remarkable range of applications from organizations of different sizes, missions, and geographic footprints. We’re excited to share some of the insights gleaned from these applicants, as well as highlight common cyber security challenges affecting the nonprofit sector. Throughout the year, we'll be sharing stories from our work with these grant awardees, taking care to protect their identities and sensitive data. 

We’ve put a lot of thought and testing into our hacker toolbox platform to ensure that it is both highly available and has all the tools we need to keep our customers safe. The team of ethical hackers that builds and maintains the Ripple fleet wrote up this blog post to share our approach with the broader cyber security community. Our hope is that this write up can help other cyber security professionals implement a similar solution in their own environment if it is needed.
